The inaugural Amsterdam Physics Show is happening on May 8th, 2025! Inspired by the renowned Bonn Physics Show led by Herbert Dreiner, a dedicated group of physics students from the University of Amsterdam has created an engaging performance featuring live physics demonstrations and innovative experiments.
Bonn Physics Show

Challenging the traditional approach to science communication, this show transforms physics education through exciting on-stage experiments woven into a fun, lighthearted narrative. The performance follows the adventures of Kiki and Bouba, two aliens who have crash-landed on Earth and must repair their spaceship to return home. Through this blend of comedy and scientific discovery, the Amsterdam Physics Show delivers an entertaining and educational experience for audiences of all backgrounds.

Some of the experiments include an electric whirl, a tesla coil, a plasma gun, and a theremin. While incorporated into the story, the demonstrations will also be well explained during the performance to really explore the physics behind them.

Amsterdam Physics Show

While primarily designed for high school students, the show welcomes everyone with an interest in science. We encourage you to share this invitation widely within your networks and RSVP through this Google Form to help us manage attendance and ensure comfortable seating for all guests.

Join us for an unforgettable journey where science comes alive through wonder and laughter!
