MSc Physics & Astronomy

The University of Amsterdam (UvA) and VU University Amsterdam (VU) have joined their forces in the Master's programme Physics & Astronomy. Both universities have an excellent international reputation, with research groups that play leading roles in various fields of science. Thanks to their cooperation, students can enjoy the expertise of two universities, as well as benefit from the existing networks and collaborative projects at both universities. For example, the Accelerators Department at CERN in Geneva, the Dutch national institute for subatomic physics Nikhef, the FOM Institute AMOLF, the Advanced Research Center for Nanolithography ARCNL, and the Energy Research Center Netherlands ECN.

The UvA/VU Master's programme Physics & Astronomy is a two-year programme taught entirely in English, with various specialisations (tracks).
