Quantum Gases & Quantum Information
Welcome to the webpage of the Quantum Gases & Quantum Information group of the Institute of Physics.
We are an experimental group using ultracold neutral atoms as a medium to investigate interesting quantum physics. We are particularly interested to develop novel platforms for quantum information science, quantum many-body physics, etc.
Atom chips are an important tool towards our goals. In Amsterdam we employ two types of atom chips: the ''conventional'' type based on current carrying wires, next to another type of chips based on patterned magnetic films.
