  • Profile

    Research interest

Theoretical particle physics at colliders, perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics, the phenomenology of the Standard Model, Higgs physics and beyond the Standard Model searches.

    Teaching

I  teach the Master course Field Theory in Paricle Physics  (a joint course with the Utrecht Theoretical Physics Master program), which deals with (non-abelian) gauge theories, renormalization and renormalization group, spontaneous symmetry breaking and the Higgs mechanism, and the Standard Model.

    Elsewhere

I am a member of the theory group at Nikhef, the national institute for subatomic physics. I also represent the Netherlands as scientific delegate to the CERN Council.
