As today's theoretical calculations and experimental analysis are not only done using pen and paper, most of us are familiar with Mathematica as an addition to this. As the PhD/PostDoc Council we would like to invite you to a series of Wolfram Mathematica tutorials at the IoP.
These tutorials do not focus on how we perform "this or that" calculation with Mathematica, but rather on how Mathematica interprets our expressions, what it understands, and how it works. As a result the first tutorial, Introduction to Mathematica, is also of interest to anybody that already knows how to use Mathematica.
