New methods to guide and store light

18Jan2019 10:00 - 11:00

PhD defence ceremony

Optical resonators compress and store light and are instrumental in providing control over the flow of light and its interaction strength with matter - a control required for many technologies involving visualisation. Hugo Doeleman investigates how hybrid resonances can overcome current limitations and provide new methods to guide and store light.
