Physics students explain soft matter phenomena on video

20 December 2016

Ever wanted to know why spilled coffee leaves ring-like stains? Whether you can drown in quicksand? Why atomic bombs cause mushroom-shaped clouds? Then have a look at a new youtube channel completely produced by third-year physics students. As part of the new course on Fluids and Soft Matter given by Daniel Bonn, Peter Bolhuis and Sander Woutersen.

Students could pick their own subject and had complete artistic freedom, so all movies have their own flavour, but they all contain a crystal-clear and in-depth explanation of the physics behind a specific Soft Matter phenomenon.
