This workshop, to be held from July 1 - July 5, 2019, continues the tradition of the biennial Amsterdam Summer Workshops started in 1999, with the aim of highlighting recent advances and stimulating further collaborative work.

The focus of this edition will be on the following themes:

  • Novel types of order in low dimensions
  • Quantum entanglement and information
  • Layered materials
  • Topological matter
  • Open and out-of-equilibrium systems

On each day we will have 6-7 talks in the morning sessions (one 1-hour experimental talk and 5-6 half-hour theory talks). The afternoons will be kept free for specialized discussion sessions and collaboration.

This workshop is supported by the Delta ITP, the ERC, QuSoft, and ITFA/IOP.
